UPDATE: As of Monday, Sept. 15, commercial vehicles also may now travel on I-15 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Nevada time. NDOT anticipates finishing repairs and having all lanes open on Sunday, if the expected inclement weather later this week does not cause delays, public information officer Ranya Botros said.
Interstate-15 is now open to traffic in both directions between St. George and Las Vegas. The Nevada Department of Transportation announced that one northbound lane and one southbound lane were officially re-opened at 4 p.m. Friday local time (5 p.m. St. George time).
After heavy rains and flooding washed out a 2-mile section of pavement near Logandale, Nev. on Monday, NDOT crews have been working around the clock to get traffic flowing again.
Currently, the reopened highway is accessible to all non-commercial traffic. Commercial vehicles must continue using the detour via U.S. Highway 93 until further notice.
