Utah Library Association Conference Brings Innovation and Connection to St. George

By Elizabeth Gunter

The Utah Library Association’s Annual Conference returns to the Dixie Convention Center this May, welcoming librarians, educators, authors, and advocates for three days of professional development, community connection, and industry innovation.

Held May 13–15, the event features engaging speakers, a robust lineup of exhibitors, and an array of networking opportunities designed to inspire and equip Utah’s library community. From emerging technologies to enduring values like access and equity, this year’s conference centers on progress, collaboration, and service.

Attendees can look forward to keynote addresses, breakout sessions, and panel discussions on topics including digital literacy, AI integration, and community engagement. The exhibitor hall will feature new products and services aimed at helping libraries better serve their patrons—whether through software tools, outreach strategies, or resource expansion.

Beyond the sessions, the conference is known for its dynamic social programming. Informal meetups and evening events provide space to build relationships, celebrate shared wins, and reflect on the evolving role of libraries in civic life.

The Utah Library Association remains committed to accessibility. Attendees can find full accessibility information, registration details, and a daily schedule of events by visiting the official ULA Conference website.

The conference takes place at the Dixie Convention Center, located at 1835 Convention Center Drive in St. George, beginning at 9 AM each day.
