Provo based company American Manufacturing’s Equal-i-zer hitch and the State of Utah were both named gold winners in Trailer Life’s Reader’s Choice Awards. Of course all Utahns know that Utah is the best place to explore, whether in an RV or not, and all us southerners know that southern Utah is the crème de la crème of the state. So while none of us may be surprised by this, it’s still a great award that is sure to continue to bring world travelers here to explore.
Apparently RV’ers have a passion for sharing the experience and wisdom they have gained over years of trying different products and traveling all over the country. So in 2012, Trailer Life Magazine came up with a way to capitalize on their readers’ collective RV intelligence and share it with RV owners all over the world. Each year they conduct an online poll to find out which vehicles, destinations, and products make life on the road easier and more enjoyable for RV’ers. One of the categories surveyed is trailer hitches, and year-after-year the Equal-i-zer hitch has come out on top. Another category is the best state for RV’ing, and Utah was named the Gold winner. As stated earlier, no surprise there for us locals.
According to Sue Seidlitz with Trailer Life, there were 10,000 voters weighing-in on all things related to trailers, campgrounds, hitches, and trailer accessories. The survey was conducted online and allowed thousands of readers to choose from over a hundred brands, voting for their top picks in more than 20 categories.
Equal-i-zer Hitch has once again been named the Gold Winner trailer hitch by Trailer Life readers. In fact, the Equal-i-zer hitch is the only hitch to have ever received this recognition. This must be one helluva hitch!
Utah, the home to Equal-i-zer Hitch, was also recognized as the favorite destination for RV’ers. With five national parks, seven national monuments, two national recreation areas and one national historic site, it’s easy to see why Utah was chosen as the Gold winner.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition. We work hard to provide the best sway control hitch on the market, and it’s a big testament to American Manufacturing that every part on this hitch is made in America,” states Rich Elliott, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It’s really fun that the favorite hitch is manufactured in the favorite state for RV’ing. We really enjoy talking to Equal-i-zer hitch owners, and see a lot of them at local campgrounds and National Parks.”
So, for all you RV’ers, there you have it. Utah really is the place. For all you non-RV’ers, perhaps you should give it a try – surely that many people can’t be wrong!
