UTV Takeover—the Southwest’s biggest UTV community gathering—rolls into Sand Hollow State Park October 14–19 for a destination-style festival that blends dune ripping, rock crawling, beach time, concerts, contests, and a stacked vendor row into one week-long off-road celebration.
With more than 20,000 acres of rideable terrain, Sand Hollow is built for every style of rider: 15,000+ acres of red sand dunes, iconic slickrock playgrounds, and a 1,300-acre reservoir with shoreline hangouts. Takeover leans into that variety with more than 30 activities for all ages—jump in with your UTV or post up and cheer from the sidelines.

What’s happening: a full slate of competitions, fun runs, and meetups including barrel racing, day-and-night drag racing (sport/pro/unlimited), short course (NA & turbo), wheeliefest, huckfest, rallyfest, rock fest, stereo wars, tire toss, slalom showdown, poker runs, cornhole tournament, pit stop challenge, and guided rides to local favorites like The Maze, Double Sammy, Upper West Rim, Triple 7s, and Top of the World Loop. Families can hit the kids zone, mascot mayhem, community tent, and night events such as group rides and the launch party. Main-stage programming and daily happy hours/meet-and-greets keep the energy up between trail sessions.

Camping, tickets, and vendors: Takeover is designed as a destination week. On-site camping ranges from community pods to premier spaces near the action. Vendor Row brings a curated lineup of industry brands, parts, and services—plus demos and deals throughout the week. Check the official website for event passes, camping reservations, full activity schedules, and vendor/sponsor lists.
Why riders love it: Takeover isn’t a “walk-in-circles” expo; it’s a ride-and-do event. Whether chasing podiums, learning new lines on guided runs, or cruising to the beach with the family, the week blends competition with community. Add cool fall weather, red-rock vistas, and an after-hours scene on the sand, and it’s an easy flagship stop on the UTV calendar.
