If you’re headed to Mesquite or Las Vegas to celebrate your Valentine’s evening, expect delays along I-15 through the Virgin River Gorge.
Southbound and northbound lanes are both currently jammed in the Gorge, with southbound traffic stopped at milepost 28.1 and northbound traffic halted at milepost 7.7, according to information from the Arizona Department of Transportation. Travelers should be prepared for delays.
The ongoing road construction that is contributing to this traffic halt, coupled with heavy Valentine’s Day and weekend traffic, is schedule to continue through Feb. 27, according to information from ADOT.
Everyone buckle up, keep a cool head and stay safe out there this Valentine’s night.
