At 6 p.m. on July 28, the VSU will present an educational DVD program by Dr. Joel Fuhrman entitled “Maximize Weight Loss by Losing Food Addictions.” The event is free and will be held at at the St. George Community Building, located at 245 N. 200 W.
Targeting people who have been struggling with weight loss or know someone who is having difficulties, Dr. Fuhrman will discuss several key points regarding the various diets—both fad and familiar—that people follow. As part of the DVD, he will expand on the following four concepts:
—Diets don’t work
—It’s not about portion control
—It’s not about weighing food and counting calories
—It’s not about the quantity of protein, “carbs,” or fats
Joel Fuhrman, MD, is a family physician, New York Times bestselling author, and nutritional researcher who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional and natural methods.
