The Southwest Utah Public Health Department will hold its annual Flu “Shoot-Out” for Washington County on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Red Cliffs Mall in St. George. Flu activity varies each year, often starting in the fall and peaking in February.
“This is a convenient way to get your flu shot and help us practice our mass-vaccination plan,” says Paulette Valentine, the health department’s emergency preparedness director. “We have teamed up with community partners to help our residents get prepared for flu season. The process is quick, easy, inexpensive, or even free if covered by your insurance.”
Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Red Cliffs Mall a drive-through for those 18 years of age and older will be set up in the mall parking lot from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Then, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m., a walk-in for all ages will be set up in the Red cliffs Mall center court.
The flu vaccine is $20 ($25 for a nasal spray version). Cash, check, and credit card are accepted. There is no charge for the vaccine with proof of the following insurances: Altius, Arches, CHIP, DMBA, Medicaid, Medicare (depending on HMO), PEHP, Selecthealth, Tall Tree, and United Healthcare.
You can save time by printing the consent form found at swuhealth.org. Fill it out and bring it to the Shoot-Out. Don’t forget to wear a short-sleeved shirt! Red Cliffs Mall is located at 1770 Red Cliffs Dr. in St. George.

Dr. Geier he explains that the flu shot causes Guillain-Barré Syndrome, and that the flu shot is not very effective in preventing the flu. He also explains that the CDC does not follow the law for vaccines in requiring long-term safety testing for the influenza vaccine like they do with other vaccines, as it is impossible to test a vaccine that changes every year. So the flu vaccine is basically an experimental vaccine that they want to give out to 300 million people every year. There are also no studies showing the safety of giving the flu vaccine to the same person every single year. However, Dr. Geier points out that the CDC is in the business of distributing flu vaccines, because they represent 300 million doses per year, whereas all the childhood vaccines together only number 20 million.

This far-reaching analysis of influenza vaccine trials shows that under common conditions, seasonal influenza vaccines have no benefit for 99 out of 100 people.
-The objectives of the study were to: “Identify, retrieve and assess all studies evaluating the effects of vaccines against influenza in healthy adults.”
-The Search Criteria: “We searched the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) (The Cochrane Library, 2010, issue 2), MEDLINE (January 1966 to June 2010) and EMBASE (1990 to June 2010).”
-Selection Criteria (for inclusion in the study): “Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) or quasi-RCTs comparing influenza vaccines with placebo or no intervention in naturally-occurring influenza in healthy individuals aged 16 to 65 years. We also included comparative studies assessing serious and rare harms.”
-The Total Scope of the study encompassed over 70,000 people.
The author even went out of his way to warn that “15 out of 36 trials [were] funded by industry (four had no funding declaration).” In other words, close to half of the studies included in this analysis were funded by the vaccine industry itself, which as we know consistently manipulates data, bribes researchers or otherwise engages in scientific fraud in order to get the results they want.
