Worthington Gallery will host two events wherein the public will be able to meet Southern Utah University English professor Jim Aton and artist Frank Masserella in person and talk to them about their craft and passion.

Saturday, March 19, from 5 to 8 p.m., Worthington Gallery will host a discussion and book signing with Aton, author of “The Art and Life of Jimmie Jones: Landscape Artist of the Canyon Country.” The coffee table-style book is about the renowned painter Jim Jones. Original Jones paintings will be on display and for sale at the event.

On Saturday, March 19, at 1 p.m. as well as Sunday, March 20, at 4 p.m., the gallery will host pottery demonstrations with Massarella. From the early years in high school ceramics class to owning his own studio and gallery, Massarella’s craft has been his vocation and his lifelong passion.

Worthington Gallery exhibits the works of over 30 professional ceramists, sculptors, glassblowers, and painters. Located at 789 Zion Park Blvd. in Springdale, the gallery is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
