As the summer tourist season has started to pick up, the Zion Canyon Medical Clinic in Springdale is now open and holding office hours Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinic, which has been in operation for 31 years, is available to area residents as well as visitors to Springdale and the Zion Canyon area.
“We have about three million visitors a year,” said Zion Canyon Medical Clinic manager Mike McMahan, “and we are here to help the traveling public.”
Being a regular family practice, the clinic offers everything from x-rays, stitches, lab tests, and women’s health check-ups to mending broken bones and fractures and remedying sore throats and the common cold.
“We get a fair amount of injuries, but mostly end up taking care of the main things people get at home,” McMahan said. “Sore throats, bronchitis and that sort of thing.”
The Zion Canyon Medical Clinic is located at 120 Lion Blvd. in Springdale. These summer hours will last until November. The physicians are also available after normal office hours for any medical assistance or emergencies.
“We can save your vacation and possibly your life,” McMahan said. “We are the vacation savior.”
