EVENING...

* AFFECTED AREA...UTAHS DIXIE INCLUDING ZION NATIONAL PARK...THE
  SAN RAFAEL SWELL INCLUDING PORTIONS OF CANYONLANDS AND CAPITOL
  REEF NATIONAL PARKS...AND THE GLEN CANYON RECREATION AREA
  INCLUDING LAKE POWELL.

* TIMING...THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS...EXCESSIVE HEAT CAN BE DANGEROUS...ESPECIALLY FOR
  OUTDOOR RECREATION...THOSE WORKING OUTSIDE AND THOSE WITHOUT
  AIR CONDITIONING OR SWAMP COOLERS. YOUNG CHILDREN... THE
  ELDERLY AND THOSE WITH PREEXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS WILL BE
  MOST IMPACTED.

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...AROUND 105.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING MEANS THAT A PROLONGED PERIOD OF
DANGEROUSLY HOT TEMPERATURE WILL OCCUR. THE HOT TEMPERATURES WILL
CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE LIKELY.
DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS... STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM... STAY
OUT OF THE SUN... AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.
