By Mike Miller
The Alzheimer’s Association will begin a four-week series titled “All About Alzheimer’s” Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. beginning Jan. 8. The series will take place at the Southwest Utah Regional office in St. George, located at 1173 S 250 W, Suite 302.
Community members, caregivers, and health care professionals who attend will be able to pick up valuable information about Alzheimer’s disease and learn about the extensive resources available from the Alzheimer’s Association, including research data and care and support protocols. They will also be able to gain firsthand knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on our friends and loved ones.
Each session will also feature a video program highlighting the following topics: knowing the 10 signs and early detection (Jan. 8), understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia (Jan. 15), living with Alzheimer’s and tips for caregivers (Jan. 22), and healthy living for your brain and body and tips from the latest research (Jan. 29).
There is no charge to attend these programs. For more information, call (435) 238-4998 or email mjmiller@alz.org.
