Utah tops the list with the most cooperative workers in the U.S.

Another year and another President’s Day has passed. This holiday is always a reminder of the importance of working together to achieve great things for the nation. In order to get a sense of how well Americans work together across the country, career discovery platform Sokanu has revealed how cooperative the people of America are state by state.

The most cooperative workers in America live in Utah, Massachusetts and Georgia — with the least cooperative workers living in West Virginia, Idaho and Maine, new research from Sokanu reveals.

The company’s Career Test gathers data from over 100,000 workers across the country every month. Their research examined professional characteristics over 180 personality and interest types to reveal the states with the highest volume of good-natured team players — qualities that many associate with a harmonious and satisfying workplace.

The research revealed a correlation between the most cooperative workers and the most populous states. California, Florida and New York are three out of four of the most densely populated states in America, and all ranked in the top 10 list of the most cooperative states. People in these highly populated areas have seemingly learned how to work together to build integrated, unified, and friendly workplaces and communities.

“Cooperation is one of the most important traits in determining fit with a career,” said Spencer Thompson, CEO of Sokanu. “Our data is helping workers understand which states are best at attracting workers are the most cooperative. Our career test is designed to not only match people to their ideal career but also understand what types of successful workers end up in which states and why.”
