Harlem GlobetrottersThe Harlem Globetrotters brought their world famous tradition of ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry, and one-of-a-kind family entertainment to Southern Utah to thrill fans of all ages. They “hooped” it up to a packed house at the Dixie State University’s Burns Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Their sensational play along their 90th Year Tour kept fans entertained and engaged on both sides of the game clock.

Showing up early and engaging with fans ahead of the game provided time for fans to play with the Harlem Globetrotters. Kids of all ages (and I do mean all ages) reveled in the Harlem Globetrottersopportunity to learn tricks, shoot shots, take photos, and secure autographs. The Harlem Globetrotters are sincere ambassadors to having a good time and making certain everyone feels connected with. Following the pregame activities, players returned to the locker room to prepare for the game-time fun. The entertainment was just getting tipped off.

Emcee Sammi Jo and Globie, the Harlem Globetrotters mascot, warmed the crowd up with magic of their own. As they brought fans out to center court for musical chairs, a dance off, and choreographed moves of their own, the anticipation mounted. People were quick to get to their seats as the anticipation flowed from the court to the mezzanine. The high energy and excitement could be felt through the entire building, and everybody wanted to be a part of it.

By the time the Harlem Globetrotters were introduced and entered the arena through the Harlem Globetrottersfog, fans had packed the seats to fill the house. From introduction to final buzzer—the Harlem Globetrotters showcased tremendous talent, amazing athletic abilities, clean humor, gut-busting comedy, crazy antics, stunning choreography, interactive antics, and engaging personalities to keep the game winning performance streak alive.

Following the game, Harlem Globetrotter players came back onto the court and invited the entire arena to meet them for autographs and pictures. As thousands of fans, ranging in age from young to old, swarmed the court, the players were all smiles as they met the demand one signature at a time.
