Kanab’s annual Balloons and Tunes Roundup will feature a host of events Feb. 17–19, including a Battle of the Bands, a wishing lantern launch, a balloon glow, and more.
Balloons will launch each morning at 7 a.m. at Coral Cliffs Golf Course if weather permits. Beginning Feb 17 at 3 p.m., musical groups will compete in the Battle of the Bands on Main Street north of the Center Street intersection until 9 p.m.
The competition will resume Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. followed by the Red Rock Dancers from 5 until 6 p.m. Also beginning at 11 a.m. will be a street fair on Main Street featuring food and crafts from area vendors and a “S’mores School.” A balloon glow will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Center Street followed by a wishing lantern launch from 8 to 9 p.m.
The weekend will conclude with a crew recognition brunch at the Parry Lodge Feb. 19 from 9 to 11 a.m.
