Springdale Guide in The Independent

Written by Josh Warburton

Another month has come and gone, and this one has seemingly gone faster than usual. I took the opportunity to spend a few days and nights up in Zion Canyon both for business and for a little rest and relaxation. It’s my favorite place in our area to recharge my batteries and connect with old and new friends.

Springdale is growing up and with it our coverage of Zion Canyon. Not only are we enhancing our news and events coverage for the greater Zion Canyon area, but we have greatly improved the functionality of our “Local’s Guide to Springdale and Zion.” It now contains the most up-to-date and functional guide to restaurants in Springdale, including address, phone, hours, alcoholic drinks, espresso and Wi-Fi, listed in order by address from the Zion National Park entrance. It’s complemented by a compact version of our guide to Utah liquor laws and a list of events in Zion Canyon for April. It also contains two special event articles, one on the Springdale Earth Day festivities, which is always a hit. The other is about a special art, music and movie experience at the OC Tanner in early May.

We’ve also completely rebuilt our Downtown St. George spread with a new look, an embedded restaurant review on George’s Corner Restaurant and an updated map. Space is still available in either section. If you’re interested please call us at 435-656-1555.

Both Springdale and Downtown St. George sections are also being refreshed on SUindependent.com as we continue to grow. In the last month we added Sudoku, Crossword and Word Search puzzles into a new GAMES section as a way to bring more traditional print readers to the site and so far they’ve been quite popular. Please check them out…and happy reading!
