Abbasouthern utah adoptable pets Abba

Abba looks most like a husky, and she talks like one, too. She’s very cute when she chatters excitedly. She joined Best Friends recently from a shelter in Davis County, UT. She takes a little while to get to know people, but once she decides she loves a human, she snuggles up close. Because she needs time to become friends, she needs an experienced adopter who will take the time Abba needs to be comfortable. She walks nicely on leash, and at about 7 years old, doesn’t need as much exercise as a younger dog like her might. Abba likes other dogs but can be a bit picky about her playmates.

Gingersnapsouthern utah adoptable pets Ginger Snap

Gingersnap is a heart-stopping lovely curvy bundle of houndie sweetness, accented by her floppy ears. This girl is no joke in the snuggle department. She has equal parts of energy and patience. If you are looking for grins and giggles Miss Gingersnap provides them free of charge. Watching her with her run mates you cannot pass up the joie de vivre she expresses as if to proclaim as houndies do that life is good. She is looking for a caring and compassionate home that enjoys walks, car rides (o.k. she may need a little help getting in a car), and long naps. When you meet Gingersnap, you will see her playful and gentle soul shine through.

Mercersouthern utah adoptable pets Mercer

Mercer was born in 2016 and was found as a stray. Mercer can be a nervous guy, so it takes some time to win him over, but yummy treats help! Although Mercer is shy with people when he bonds with a dog he’s willing to go with them almost anywhere because they boost his confidence. He’s done well with all the dogs he’s met at the Sanctuary. Mercer is an active boy who would be a great adventure buddy. At Dogtown, he’s working on building relationships with his human friends and has come a long way toward getting comfortable with people who take the extra time with him.

Cinnasouthern utah adoptable pets Cinna

Cinna likes people, but he’s a little reserved. He won’t approach you, but if you go up to him he’s happy to accept attention. He’s the same way with other cats. He also does fine with dogs. Born in 2006, he came from an overcrowded situation. Cinna is a very sweet boy who doesn’t ask for much. He’s a bit of a wallflower, but we think he’d blossom in a home where there are fewer cats and he receives more attention.

Greysouthern utah adoptable pets Grey

Grey is a beautiful tabby cat who lost his home when his person passed away. He can be a little shy in the beginning, but once he gets to know someone, he will meet and greet them whenever they enter his room. He gets stressed and overwhelmed in a crowd of many cats, but does well with one or two non-alpha cats. He also responds very well to petting and will even cuddle next to you or in your lap to take full advantage of your attention. Grey does have stomatitis that flares during times of stress, so being in a calm, quiet home is beneficial to him. He is bonded with his buddy Allen, who makes him feel secure and gives him a friend with whom to snuggle. Grey is a fabulous boy who will be a loving companion in a home. Please meet him soon!

Wendellsouthern utah adoptable pets Wendell

Wendell is sweet and affectionate, social and vocal. Born in 2017, he came from a Utah shelter. At the Sanctuary, he has been bullied by dominant males. He is currently in a room with dominant females and faring just fine. He’d love to have a forever home with nice cats who won’t bully him.

RSQ Dogs+

southern utah adoptable pets Zuri

All you Pitbull lovers or simply lovers of big, devoted, wonderful dogs, please give our Chloe a look. Chloe is a beautiful girl, our fashion diva, we think around 4 years old and about 70 lbs. She loves snuggling with her people and can be silly and playful. She is fairly selective about doggy friends. She walks well on a leash and made great strides working with a trainer. She loves going on hikes, you can see the joy in her face. She likes children though due to her size older children would be preferable. Introductions to other dogs should be well managed and a home as an only dog would probably be best. Chloe will make someone a true and loyal companion and friend for life.

Zurisouthern utah adoptable pets Zuri

Zuri is a 2.5-year-old Boxer mix who just wants some love and an opportunity. A young and very active pup, Zuri is a sweet girl who craves love and attention but can be selective about other dog friends. Sweet Zuri LOVES her toys– every time she sees you, she cannot wait to show off her newest toy, and also LOVES hiking- she does great off-leash. Though she doesn’t love ALL other dogs, she is great with any dog off-leash hiking. Zuri needs to find a family without younger children or cats, though we do think both of those things can be worked on in her new family with the right amount of patience, care, and training. She just needs someone to give her a chance.

Story and Legendsouthern utah adoptable pets Story and Legend

Story and Legend are twins (Almost identical, but there are some differences). They were born around October 2019. These two adorable babies were living in the storm drain at the library. RSQ Dogs received multiple calls to help them and with traps and patience, here they are! They have taken a little time to get used to people, but now they are friendly, playful, and loving. These cuties are looking for a furever home where they can stay together. They are both house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or just the two of them.

Cocosouthern utah adoptable pets Coco

Kiki Deesouthern utah adoptable pets Kiki Dee

Kiki Dee needs a quieter atmosphere and would appreciate a home with adults only or calm older children. She is low maintenance, low fuss, and is the perfect housemate. Missysouthern utah adoptable pets MISSY

Missy is a gorgeous blue Cane Corso/Pit blend who was very reserved when she first joined BAM but has begun to come out of her shell in foster care. They are sure this means that an adoptive home would get to see even more of her personality shine. Missy would love a person or family that she didn’t have to share with another dog. However, it may just be that she prefers to be the only girl dog in the home, so if you have a male dog and would like to introduce them, BAM can facilitate that. Missy might look tough but deep down she is just a softy that loves to give kisses and cuddles. She also loves to go on walks and car rides and gets a little sad when you leave her behind. She is very choosy on who her furry house companions are because she likes a lot of love so she does best being the only dog. However, she doesn’t mind other dogs visiting. Missy is 100% potty trained and would be best with older children because she needs a quiet environment. She is a wonderful dog who will be a great addition to someone’s family. Missy is a medium dog with a lot of muscle, so she would be a good exercise companion and it would help her stay fit too. To find out more about Missy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Missy’s adoption fee is $125.

Barrysouther utah adoptable pets BARRY

Were you widowed by a grumpy old man? Have you been looking to add another to your life since his passing? Have we got the dog for you! In all seriousness, little Barry has good reason to be grumpy. He came to BAM with a broken pelvis from a California shelter. Since being BAM’s care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies in his space, big dogs who don’t respect him and–adding insult to injury–he now has kidney stones! BAM wants the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace and love. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs. He enjoys certain members of BAM’s team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea. To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Domsouthern utah adoptable pets DOM

Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.

Sabrinasouthern utah adoptable pets Sabrina

After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program
