The Zion Summer Concert Series at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater welcomes Todo Mundo, voted “Best World Music” band of 2014 at the San Diego Music Awards, to the stage. Blending the musical flavors of Spanish rumba, reggae, Brazilian, Balkan and Middle Eastern styles into an irresistible groove, Todo Mundo has been moving dance floors and connecting with audiences across the world since 2009. The band, which was also nominated for “Best World Music” band at the 2012 and 2013 San Diego Music Awards, is led by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Santiago Orozco, a native of Colombia.

Through music, Todo Mundo has learned to share their soul and experiences with the world. The power of music allows them to transmit their messages of unity, equality, and diversity. Their music and performances possess explosive energy that celebrates life with the aim of connecting with people from all over the world and encouraging them to live in the present as one. In November 2014, they received an award from the City of San Diego’s Human Relation Commission for spreading diversity through music.

They have toured across North America, performing at various festivals and concert halls throughout California, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Mexico. They have had the pleasure of supporting international and national touring artists such as Los Amigos Invisibles, Sister Nancy, Chris Isaak, Mike Love, Aterciopelados, Jarabe De Palo, Vokab Kompany, The Bunny Gang, Marbin, Groove Session, and El Gran Silencio. In 2015, they will be touring again through western U.S. and performing in states such as Colorado (Telluride, Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Durango, Paonia, etc.), Utah (Ogden, Huntsville, Zion National Park, etc.), New Mexico (Albuquerque, Taos, Hobbs, etc.), California (Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, Grass Valley), Idaho, South Dakota and Oregon.

In 2013, Todo Mundo teamed up with Grammy Award-winning engineer Alan Sanderson and released Conexion (Oct. 2013), their latest full-length studio album. The album contains a “masterful blend” of grooves from around the world and was nominated for “Best World Music Album” at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards (San Diego Uptown News). In February 2015, Todo Mundo entered NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Contest. From the 7,000 artist submissions they received, NPR’s Alt.Latino program selected Todo Mundo and 10 other bands to be featured in one of their podcasts. Todo Mundo is sponsored by Kuhl Clothing.

Opening the show is local favorite, Soul What!? Led by powerhouse Alice Ericksen, Soul What!? will have you dancing in the aisles to your favorite classic rock tunes.
