The Dorothy for HD 74 Campaign Headquarters is hosting a grand opening event on Tuesday, July 22. Dorothy Engelman is the Democratic candidate for the Utah House of Representatives District 74, which includes Ivins, Santa Clara, the Shivwits Reservation, and the neighborhoods of Entrada, Bloomington, Bloomington Hills, and SunRiver in St. George.

“Shortly after moving to St. George for its blue skies and breathtaking scenery, I became involved in the community,” she said.. “I met many people who felt their issues were not being heard by the state legislature, and I decided to listen and run for office to bring their concerns to the Utah Legislature.”

The campaign headquarters are located at 429 N. Bluff St. (look for the blue section!) in St. George, and the event is from 6-7:30 p.m. The public is invited to meet Engelman and her staff, as well as being able to pick up Dorothy for HD 74 T-shirts and mugs for a donation.

The campaign will be distributing “Donate your spare change for a positive change” jars, to be filled with coins and brought to the Campaign Kickoff on Sept. 6.

Refreshments will be served, and attendees can sign up to help with the campaign.

Engelman will also be joining the Pioneer Day parade and hosting an informational booth in Ivins on Thursday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For more information, please contact Engelman at (435) 339-0200 ext. 51 or [email protected].
