Even though the 2015 season of the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City still has three more months to go, on Monday, July 20, the Festival announced their lineup for the 2016 season in the new Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts. The 2016 season of the Utah Shakespeare Festival will features three Shakespeare classics, three musicals, and two comedies, with the first preview performance scheduled for June 27, 2016.

The plays will be performed in the new Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre, the new Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre, and the existing Randall L. Jones Theatre. The Englestad Shakespeare Theatre will feature “Henry V” and “Much Ado About Nothing” by William Shakespeare and “The Three Musketeers” by Ken Ludwig, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas. The Randall L. Jones Theatre will host the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s production of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s “Mary Poppins,” Irving Berlin and George S. Kaufman’s musical “The Cocoanuts,” and Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple.” Finally, the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre will be showing Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” and Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair’s musical “Murder for Two.”
