Changing The World Through DOCUTAH 2025

Utah Tech University, the Utah Tech Film Department, the City of St. George, and Greater Zion present the DOCUTAH International Film Festival, February 27 through March 1, 2025, at the Megaplex Theaters on Sunset in St. George, Utah. With 51 intriguing films worldwide, DOCUTAH helps filmmakers change the world, sharing stories that inspire transformation.
Attend the films and then stay for the DOCTalks, which promise insightful conversations with visiting filmmakers. DOCTalks are on Thursday, February 27, and Friday, February 28, at 8:30 PM. This year, DOCTalks panels include eight filmmakers with experience producing for major networks, including HBO, Netflix, Hulu, NewsHour, 60 Minutes, PBS, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, CNN, Nightline, Democracy Now!, The Weather Channel, Dan Rather Reports, Fusion TV, Current TV, Univision, Telemundo, and National Geographic, with multiple Emmy and film festival awards between them.
Come to the awards ceremony on Saturday, March 1, to cheer on the winners! The awards ceremony will feature a concert by renowned Instagrammer Philip Labes this year. Philip began writing and posting songs as a means of coping with lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. His song, “A TV Show Called Earth,” went viral, amassing 350,000 views overnight. With over 70,000 followers, Philip attracted the attention of Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz and became The Opener to Jason’s post-Covid concert tour. Philip’s ‘little’ song inspired hundreds of thousands of people, and the filmmaker who told Philip’s story inspired thousands more.
