Summer nights in St. George come alive with the city’s popular In the Parks Series, offering free concerts and movies for families under the stars. Held at Vernon Worthen Park and Historic Town Square, these events are a perfect way to enjoy community-driven entertainment.

Concerts in the Park

Concerts take place at Vernon Worthen Park (300 South 400 East), on the second Monday of each month through September, all starting at 7:30 PM, and are free to attend. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.

Remaining 2025 concert dates and acts:

  • August 11 – CATFISH JOHN
    A Grateful Dead tribute band delivering psychedelic rock in the park.

  • September 15 – WILDWOOD DUO
    Utah-based country duo with soulful harmonies and energetic Americana.

  • September 26 – CONCERT UNDER THE STARS
    Utah Tech University Orchestra performs a mix of classical, popular, and patriotic music, culminating in Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with fireworks, held in Town Square.

Movies in the Park

Outdoor movies at Historic Town Square occur on the second and fourth Fridays of each month, beginning at dusk (approximately 9 PM). Films are shown on a large screen—bring your blankets, chairs, and snacks.

  • August 22 – FREAKY FRIDAY
    Classic mother-daughter body-switch comedy.
