The Once Upon a Time in America Museum is celebrating its second year in business, offering a destination that combines history, dining, and shopping in one massive location. Spanning 40,000 square feet, the museum takes visitors on a journey from the Revolutionary War to modern times through six distinct exhibit areas.

History buffs will be thrilled to see original documents signed by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. The collection even includes a hat once worn by Abraham Lincoln. Beyond the political figures, the museum houses a vast room dedicated to Western history. You can find autographs from legendary figures like Wyatt Earp, Sitting Bull, and even Utah’s own Butch Cassidy. This area also honors Kanab’s reputation as “Little Hollywood” by celebrating the more than 200 western films shot in the region.

The “horsepower corral” is a must-see for car enthusiasts. It features over 35 rare classic cars in exquisite condition, including a fan-favorite replica of the time machine from Back to the Future. No matter which American car brand you prefer, you are likely to find it represented here.

The experience continues at the Smoke Wagon Saloon. The downstairs area replicates an authentic 1880s saloon, while the upstairs offers a more modern vibe with neon signs, pool tables, and video games. It is a great spot to grab what many guests call the best burgers and smoked meats in the area.

Before you leave, the Sweet Tea and Whiskey Emporium offers high-end gifts and unique treasures to help you remember your visit. It is truly one of the most unique experiences in Southern Utah and a visit you will not forget.
