Southern Utah’s premier search for local stars is nearing its peak as the finalists for the 2026 Dixie’s Got Talent prepare to take the stage. Presented by the Utah Tech University Entertainment Alliance, the annual competition has moved past its initial audition phase and is now readying 24 of the region’s most talented performers for a grand finale that combines high-energy entertainment with a mission to support student education.
The road to the finale began with a call for local performers to share their craft through virtual video auditions, a window that closed in late July. Following a rigorous screening process by a panel of judges, the top contenders were invited to in-person callback auditions on August 1. From that highly competitive round, eight finalists were selected in each of the three categories: youth, adult, and group. These 24 acts now represent the best of the best, each vying for cash prizes and the chance to gain significant community exposure.
Scheduled for 7:30 PM on September 12 at the America First Performing Arts Center on the Utah Tech University campus, the finale serves as a highlight of the City of St. George’s annual Dixie Days. The event has grown into a cherished tradition, offering a professional-grade platform for singers, dancers, and variety acts to step into the spotlight. On the night of the show, a panel of judges and audience voting will work together to determine the winner and runner-up in each category.
