On May 10 at 2:30 p.m., Save Grand Staircase Escalante — a local grassroots organization dedicated to protecting Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument — will hold a rally at Little Hollywood Museum in Kanab. The rally is being held in response to an executive order issued by President Trump April 26 directing Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke to review the future of Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bears Ears National Monuments as well as other monuments around the country.
Protesters will look for an opportunity to gather after the rally at a location where Zinke is present.
