The Southern Utah Art Guild recently announced the winners of its show “Back to Reality”:
—Best of show: Eddi Malloy for “Southern Comfort,” watercolor
—First place: Noel Logan for “Gila Monster,” bronze sculpture
—Second place: Shirley Smith for “Abyss,” photography
—Third place: Matt Pectol for “#31,” oil and ink
Honorable mentions include the following:
—Mel Scott for “Metallic,” pebeo oil
—Mary Andrus for “Impulse Activity,” oil
—Rebekah Tucker for “Goose Egg,” ink
—Deena Millecam for “Remembering by Showing,” watercolor
—Evie Atkin for “Pueblo,” gourd
—Sherrie Spinelli for “Symphony of Color,” oil
The judges for the “Back to Reality” show were Gary and Sheryl Collins. The show features 62 pieces of art from 26 artists. All pieces are for sale.
The “Back to Reality” show runs through Sept. 28 in the Red Cliff Gallery at 220 E 200 N in St. George. The show is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays. Selected images of the art can be found at southernutahartguild.com.
