Interior Responds to Rep. Stewart
Services to resume at Utah’s national parks
On Jan. 6, Utah Republican Congressman Chris Stewart received a letter from Acting Secretary Bernhardt acknowledging the challenges that our National Parks are facing during this partial lapse in government appropriations. In the letter, Bernhardt states that “the burdens being born by local communities should be addressed by Park Service personnel within days, particularly at the bigger parks such as Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.”
“I am grateful for the quick response to our letter and the extraordinary steps the Department is taking to ensure our Utah Parks are protected and open for visitors,” Stewart said.
