Sugar (Jolie)
Although she came with the name Jolie, her foster mama has renamed her Sugar: she’s all white and as sweet as can be! A tiny thing … we’re guessing 5 lbs or less … she’s young and very playful. She gets along well with her foster pack but is a people dog and is happiest with a squeaky toy or getting attention from her person.
Sugar already knows how to use the doggy door and is learning to walk on a leash. She’s getting used to being snuggled but is not a lap dog yet … she’s quite the independent girl although she likes to keep you in her sight. Sugar loves her treats so teaching her should be a simple task. Because of her size, we suggest no children or only those who are older and respectful.
If you are interested in checking out this adorable little girl to see if she could be your new best friend, call or text her foster mama Phyllis at (435) 705-9227 to arrange a meeting.
Jacob
Poor little Jacob was hit by a car and ended up losing a large chunk of his tail which feels better and is now a cute little nub. He’s a shy, sweet boy who only wants someone he can love and trust to keep him safe. We aren’t sure what breeds he has in him but there’s probably a bunch! He’s long and lean with legs like a basset hound but his head is more like a terrier that’s what we at BAM call a one-of-a-kind perfect blend!
If you would like to meet this delightful boy, visit that BAM Place between 9:00 and 5:00 Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting. To submit an application, click here.
Dee Dee
Dee Dee is a precious little senior long-haired dachshund who had to be shaved before she could travel to BAM because she was so matted. She was lumpy, bumpy, a little warty, and had some pretty nasty teeth but, after a snip here, a nip there, and a few tugs everywhere, she’s looking and feeling so much better!!! She’s looking forward to getting her stitches out on March 3rd and moving into her forever home.
Dee Dee has glaucoma which will require ongoing treatment (eye drops) and she may be a bit hard of hearing, but she has the sweetest temperament and loves to walk. She isn’t really a lap dog … yet … but she does like to be near her people and will follow you everywhere
If you would like to meet this delightful girl, visit that BAM Place between 9–5pm Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting. To submit an application, click here.
Barry
Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!
Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).
Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.
Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.
To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Ace
Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly!
Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates.
Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.
To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
