A Bedfull of Foreigners At The Electric Theater

For the second summer in a row, The Stage Door is pleased to be presenting a full-length comedy play. A Bedfull of Foreigners will take over the stage at The Electric Theater.

Produced by The Stage Door, Bedfull is a comedy written by Dave Freeman. This hilarious production follows the story of two couples visiting France near the German border. The two couples are inadvertently booked into the same hotel room. The show is filled with mistaken identity, secret-keeping, and the surprise arrival of monks and nuns.

Our production has a special twist. In the cast, there is a husband-and-wife duo. The catch is they are not playing each other‘s husband or wife. J. Bryan Dial it’s playing the role of Claude. Bryan’s wife, Danalee Dial, is playing the wife of the opposite couple, Brenda.

Rounding out the rest of the cast, we have Ginger Nelson playing Claude’s wife, Helga. Brenda‘s husband Stanley is played by Michael Lee. You may have recently seen them in Shakespeare in the Park in Santa Clara City, along with Trey Paterson, who plays Heinz, the hotel manager, and Ally Koller, who plays Simone. The hotel handyman, Karak, is played by Coy Andrew Shinn, Jr. This is a very talented group of actors, and they bring so much physical humor to the stage.

This show is directed by Josh Scott, who is so thrilled to be bringing comedy plays to Southern Utah after years of directing summer comedy theater productions locally at the former DSU. Josh hopes to make a tradition out of holding comedy plays in the summer here in St. George. Non-musical plays give an added dimension to the theater scene in St. George and provide an acting outlet for many.

A Bedfull of Foreigners will run July 28– August 13, 2022. Shows will run Thursday – Saturday at 7:30 PM, and on August 6 at 2:00 PM.

Tickets are $21 for adults and $19 for seniors and can be purchased online at thestagedoortheater.com or by calling the box office at 435-656-4407. All performances will be held at the Electric Theater at 68 E Tabernacle, St. George, UT 84770.
