Presidential candidate and longtime U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will be coming to Nevada on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Sanders will be attending the Nevada AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention in Las Vegas earlier in the day. He will meet with the press afterwards, and then he will travel to the University of Nevada, Reno later that evening.
Sander’s rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Hillary Clinton, is also expected in Nevada the same day and will likewise be giving a speech at the AFL-CIO convention.
The Bernie Sanders rally at the University of Nevada, Reno is open to the public. It will take place at Joe Crowley Student Union, Gateway Plaza located at 1664 N. Virginia St. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the rally begins at 7 p.m.
This will be the second visit to Nevada for Sanders in the last calendar month.
