Best Friends Animal Society Business Assistance Grants
The Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that Best Friends Animal Society CEO, Julie Castle, is graciously extending Business Assistance Grants to Kane County businesses in need. Businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and wish to apply should see the attached application. $225,000 is available with the max award of $25,000. All applications must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 7th.
“The Best Friends Animal Society is using a portion of its non-donor revenue to support locally owned businesses in Kane County during this current economic uncertainty. It is our goal to help businesses that support local residents, as well as the visitor economy so that they can thrive for years to come.”
Applicants may request up to $25,000. Award amount will vary based on demonstrated need and number of applicants.
The deadline for submission is Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
Awards will be considered grants and will not require repayment, as long as the goals outlined in the signed grant agreement are met through the provision of supporting documentation.
Grants are not available to businesses in which an employee of Best Friends or their immediate family members hold an ownership stake.
Applications will be reviewed by an award committee, whose membership will be made available upon request. Best Friends Animal Society retains the sole right of award disbursement and applicants are not guaranteed funds.
