I’ve got to say, after I played Bunco for the first time at the CasaBlanca Resort Casino over a year ago, I’m totally hooked! My team actually won with a rookie like me. It’s a game of luck and team-building, a chance to meet new people, a fun and exciting way to get lucky and make some green, and just plain crazy fun! My table won $100 per person! Plus, I met some really fun people, enjoyed several cold drinks, and was thoroughly entertained.
The CasaBlanca Resort Casino, Mesquite’s premier resort, is hosting another Bunco tournament Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.for anyone who wants to learn or already knows how to play. After reading a short paragraph on how to play Bunco, I’m convinced it’s a game of luck similar to Bingo but more interactive because you get to roll three dice, win or lose with each roll, and eventually score the most points as a team or individual. What’s better than that? Win one for the team, plus win one for yourself, too!
Due to popular demand and up to $5,000 in cash and prizes, it’s back and more lucrative than ever! They tell me that people travel hundreds of miles to stay and play in this event. Your $99-per-person tournament fee includes one room night and one buffet. If you just want to play, it’s only $79 and includes the buffet. During this four-hour event, participants will be drawn randomly for prizes ranging from two-night stays, free golf, dinner for two, show tickets, and much more. Plus, if your team wins the overall winner spot, each player will once again win $100 cash, $50 for the most individual “Minie Buncos” on your team, and $40 for the most Bunco wins. Total prize money is up to a whopping $5,000! That’s no bunk!
Men and women over 21 are invited to play. Come as a full team of 12, a couple, or an individual to fill a team. To register and/or book your reservation, go to casablancaresort.com and click “special events, Bunco,” or call (888) 711-4653 ext. 6889.
You must register to play from noon to 1 p.m. the day of the tournament.
