Western tradition and community spirit are set to take center stage in Kanab as the Kane County Fair weekend brings two signature events to Southern Utah. On July 31 and August 1, residents and visitors alike can immerse themselves in the heritage of the region with the Legacy Rodeo and the Circle the Wagons Dinner Show & Dance.
The festivities kick off on Friday, July 31, with the Kane County Fair Legacy Rodeo. This authentic Western experience celebrates the enduring spirit of Kane County, offering a night of action that honors the deep-rooted ranching history of the area.

The celebration continues Saturday, August 1, as the Kanab Center Ballroom transforms for the return of Circle the Wagons. Inspired by historic pioneer gatherings where neighbors once shared food and music around circles of wagons, this event combines Old West charm with high-energy modern entertainment.
The evening features a hearty chuckwagon-style feast prepared by Giff’s Barbeque. Guests can look forward to a generous spread of roast beef, Dutch oven potatoes, chili, and sourdough biscuits, followed by fresh salad and apple cobbler for dessert.
Once the dinner plates are cleared, the ballroom comes alive with music from husband-and-wife performers Lyndsey and Russell Wulfenstein, known as Lyndsey and the Wulf. They are joined by a talented band including local musicians Matthew Stewart, Jack Allen, and John Crowley. Unlike a standard concert, this show invites the audience to be part of the performance. With concert-quality lighting and synchronized video, the group performs a mix of classic Western favorites and modern country hits like “Crazy” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

Russell Wulfenstein noted that the event is designed to be an experience people remember, focusing on bringing the community together through music and production. For Lyndsey Wulfenstein, the heart of the night is the shared connection, where guests are encouraged to meet new friends, line dance, and two-step the night away.
Camberly Anderson, the events coordinator for the Kane County Fair, hopes that by building on traditions from years gone by, Circle the Wagons will become a highlight of the summer for families.
