COVID-19 Has Cost Utah’s Cultural Sector Over $29-Million

Utah Department of Heritage and Arts, Utah Division of Arts & Museums, Utah Cultural Alliance, Utah Humanities, Utah Museums Association, Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks (ZAP), and Salt Lake City Arts Council together announce survey results measuring the economic impact of COVID-19 Utah’s arts, museums, humanities, and film sector. Results are sobering:

  • 642 jobs have already been terminated with another 4,045 in jeopardy

While the sector is in need of significant financial investment to survive these trying times, it is also adapting.
