Enrollment is now open for fall classes offered through Dixie State University’s community education program. Classes are offered in a variety of subjects and are open to anyone in the community.
The community education program is a collaborative effort between DSU, the City of St. George, and the Washington County School District. Classes on a wide range of subjects such as archaeology, computer skills, photography, and dance are available to children, teens, and adults.
“We are really excited about our classes this fall,” said Tyson Pulsipher, manager of community education at DSU. “We have our returning classes that continue to be popular, as well as many new offerings we haven’t had before. I wish I had more time because there are about a dozen classes I’d like to take myself.”
The classes are not for credit. Classes begin in mid-September, continue until December, and usually take place once per week in the evening. Classes vary from one night only to twelve weeks in length.
Registration for Community Education classes is available in person at the DSU campus at 46 S.1000 E in the North Plaza Building, over the phone at (435) 652-7929, or online at ce.dixie.edu where a full course catalog is also available.
