The red rocks of Southern Utah are calling as the Fort Desolation Music and Adventure Travel Festival returns for its fifth year. Set against the stunning backdrop of Cougar Ridge Resort in Torrey, this unique event offers three nights of world-class music and three days to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Capitol Reef National Park.
This year’s main-stage lineup is packed with talent, featuring acclaimed artists like Drive-By Truckers, Andrew Bird, Grahame Lesh & Friends, and Rayland Baxter. To ensure every guest has a premium experience, the festival limits attendance. This allows everyone to move around comfortably, get close to the music, and enjoy the atmosphere without the hassle of long lines.
While the music takes center stage in the evenings, your days are wide open for adventure. Whether you prefer hiking through red-rock canyons, fly-fishing, cycling, or off-roading, the area surrounding the festival has something for everyone. New for 2026, guests can also enjoy the Fort Desolation Fondo, a two-day gravel-cycling event, or relax at the on-site Oasis Pool & Fitness facility.

The heart of the festival is the campground, situated in a pristine alfalfa field with sweeping views. It is a place where neighbors become friends during campsite cookouts and after-hours jams with festival artists. For those who want a bit more luxury, glamping tents and two-bedroom villas are available, offering upscale amenities and private decks. It is truly a one-of-a-kind way to experience the magic of the Utah desert. You can find more details and the official 2026 playlist at the Fort Desolation website.
