Georgefest celebrates two-year anniversary with June Moon JubileeGeorgefest will celebrate its second anniversary June 2 with June Moon Jubilee, a full evening of live music, food, and free mustache birthday cake at the Jazz Garden.

Attendees will enjoy extended hours, a free photo booth, the Galaxy Light Parade on Tabernacle Street at 9:15 p.m., a 5K race through downtown at 10 p.m., and the Firehose Frenzy Foam Party hosted by St. George City Fire Department at the main stage at 11 p.m.

Two years ago, Georgefest began as a relatively small street festival drawing a few hundred people. Since then, the number of attractions and participants has steadily increased.

“We are thrilled to see Georgefest become a nightlife favorite with the local community,” said Georgefest founder and executive producer Melynda Thorpe. “For so many people in the area, this event has earned ‘must-go’ status. Attending Georgefest is being immersed in southern Utah culture for one night each month, and the vibe is tangible.”

Georgefest now spans two city blocks on Main Street and includes a DJ dance party, buskers, food trucks, artists and crafters presenting items for sale, booths offering games and activities for kids, and more. Local bands can be found performing at the Main Street concert from 6:30 to 10 p.m. and at the Jazz Garden until midnight. The Jazz Garden is located next door to Judd’s Store on Tabernacle Street.
