The Heritage Apple Festival is just around the corner! The 24th Annual Heritage Apple Festival will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, in Glendale, Utah, on Highway 89.

The Apple Festival celebrates the production, harvest, and sale of apple products, handicrafts, and games and culminates with a large community banquet dinner at the town park. Glendale is a quaint, historic town with a vibrant farming history. The Apple Festival is an opportunity to showcase and share the rich heritage of Long Valley.

The Apple Festival will be kicked off Saturday morning with an exciting archery competition. Registration begins at 8 AM at the Glendale Baseball Field. There will be competitions for archers of all ages, with great prizes including a brand new bow! Archers 18 and up $20, ages 13-17 $10, ages 0-12 $5.

The vendor fair at the Glendale Town Park will feature food and craft vendors selling various goods you won’t want to miss, including, of course, apples and apple pies! The vendor village will be open from 10 AM until 5 PM and will include live entertainment and a variety of activities for the whole family, including the Kids Craft Corner from 10 AM – 12 PM and Kids Games with fun prizes from 1-4 PM.

There will be paintball games starting at 2 PM and being played until 4 PM. Grab some friends and come play some paintball! $20 per round includes all needed gear and paint.

If you love apple pie, there will be an Apple Pie Eating contest at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM at Glendale Park. $2 entry fee, win great prizes while eating some delicious apple pie!

There will be a Quilt Show in the Glendale Town Hall during the vendor fair. There will be a beautiful display of handmade quilts that you won’t want to miss.

This will be an event you don’t want to miss! Mark your calendars for the Glendale Apple Festival on Saturday, October 8, 2022!

At 5 PM, there will be a Fruit Tree Pruning Class, offered by the USU Extension office in the Glendale Town Park under the apple trees. They will have a live demonstration to help you improve your trees’ appearance and fruit production. This class is being offered completely free of charge! There will be a door prize drawing for all who attend. You could win a spot in the Master Gardener Class series offered by USU Extension, a $150 value!

Are you a great cook? There will be an Apple Dessert Cook-Off with great prizes! Bring your entry to the Glendale Town Hall at 4 PM. Stay for the Community Dinner at 6 PM and sample all the desserts! Winners will be announced during the dinner. There will be a Junior Category for bakers ages 8-15 and a Senior Category for bakers ages 16 and up.

The Apple Festival Community Dinner will be at the Glendale Town Park Pavilion at 6:00 PM. Local chefs serve brisket, BBQ pork, dutch oven potatoes, and more. It will be delicious, and while you eat, enjoy the live entertainment and find out the winners of the Apple Cook-Off and Apple Festival Raffle.

During dinner, there will be a raffle drawing! Tickets are $1 and can be purchased at the Glendale Town booth at the Vendor Fair on Saturday. Great prizes this year include a handmade quilt, a four-person rappelling tour from EZE, and other great prizes, including gift certificates to local businesses.

After dinner, spread out a blanket and enjoy our Outdoor Movie in the Park. There will be popcorn and hot chocolate and a fun, family-friendly movie for everyone to enjoy.
