ART Provides is proud to present Herstory 2026, the fourth installment of its powerful regional group exhibit celebrating feminine narratives through visual art. The show opens on Friday, March 6, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, as part of the area’s First Friday Art Walk.
Featuring all-local artists from St. George and the greater Southern Utah region, Herstory 2026 reflects a collaborative spirit between neighboring communities. While ART Provides is proudly rooted in St. George—where it continues to host programs, exhibitions, and the annual Plein Air Festival—this year’s exhibit marks a special pop-up partnership with Kayenta, expanding the reach and visibility of Southern Utah’s creative voices.
The exhibit will remain on view through April 18, 2026 in the Kayenta Art Center’s west gallery.

This year’s Herstory exhibit brings together a dynamic collection of artworks exploring themes of identity, care, resistance, embodiment, ancestry, and transformation. Each piece reflects a personal or poetic interpretation of the feminine experience—past, present, or imagined. From sculpture to fiber art, painting to photography, the work is as diverse as the women and femmes who created it.
“We’re honored to bring Herstory to Kayenta this spring and continue cultivating connections throughout our Southern Utah arts community,” said the ART Provides team. “This is a visiting exhibition—an extension of our St. George mission—and we’re grateful to the City of St. George for helping support its curation and outreach.”
The opening reception is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to experience the show during the First Friday Art Walk, meet exhibiting artists, and enjoy light refreshments in the gallery.
