Ehusouthern utah adoptable pets Ehu

Ehu is a cool-looking dog with a happy, positive energy. He likes to play with some dogs and with people at the sanctuary. Though he was born in 2011, he has not experienced much in life and would love for someone to show him the world. Because he enjoys water and adventures, he would love to lead people through forests, rivers, or valleys or up onto mountain peaks. Ehu came to the sanctuary from a Best Friends Network Partner shelter in Washington. He has anxiety and is shy and fearful with strangers. He’s shown some guarding behaviors, and because he will jump fences, he needs a home with secure high fencing. Ehu has a high prey drive and cannot live with small dogs or cats. He is selective with dogs his size. In Dogtown, he’s doing clicker training and having regular dog play dates and introductions. Ehu also goes for walks with new people and has been doing basket muzzle training. He would do best in an active home and with a person or a family who has relatively good dog skills and experience.

Finnegansouthern utah adoptable pets Finnegan

Finnegan is an extremely friendly dog. He loves people and has done very well with everyone he’s met at the sanctuary. When the sanctuary tour stops at his building in Dogtown, he is very polite and quiet for his visitors. Before coming to the sanctuary from a Best Friends Network Partner, he was living in a foster home, so he is all ready to settle in with a person or family of his own. Born in 2016, he’s sweet, quiet, and playful. He loves his doggie roommate, and he has been a star in many different doggie play groups at the sanctuary. Finnegan has tested positive for heartworm disease and will be receiving treatment for it. As good as he has been with other dogs, he has shown aggression toward cats and cannot live with them. At Dogtown, he’s learning to sit both on cue and by default and is working on loose leash walking.

Guysouthern utah adoptable pets Guy

This sweet golden boy pretty much loves doing everything: playing, eating, jumping, walking, chewing on toys, and wiggling at people. Born in 2013, Guy is still full of puppy energy and playfulness. He is very smart, loves training, and is already crate trained. He spent the first year of his life in an animal shelter in New Mexico. He can be mouthy, but he has been working very hard to learn appropriate behavior. He’s doing very well. When it comes to other animals, he loves other dogs. He can be a bit in their face too much, but he listens well when asked to back off. He’d do best in a home without cats, he’s terrified of them! Guy is very sweet and snuggly. He’s looking to be a great companion for a patient, active, dog-savvy person. Are you the strong, guiding friend who can help him realize that dream?

Emeraldsouthern utah adoptable pets Emerald

Emerald was named for her beautiful green eyes. She’s very friendly and loves getting attention from people. She tolerates other cats but doesn’t cuddle or play with them. Born in 2008, Emerald came to Best Friends from California. She does well in new environments and doesn’t seem to have any issues with change. Emerald is on medication for hyperthyroidism and to control diarrhea. Take this sweet girl home and she’d love to tell you all about her day.

Fluffsouthern utah adoptable pets Fluff

Fluff is quite timid, but she does enjoy being petted. She’s very cautious when it comes to any change in her environment. She is fine with other cats. Born in 2015, she came from a rescue group in Arizona. Fluff has feline immunodeficiency virus, but she can still live a long and happy life. She can even live with cats who don’t have the virus because it’s only spread via deep bite wounds. Although Fluff is shy, she is not afraid to show her affectionate side once she’s comfortable. We envision her being very loving in a calm, low-stress home.

Gussouthern utah adoptable pets Gus

Gus is a laid-back, easygoing kinda guy. He enjoys warm beds, good food, and relaxing days. He really enjoys attention from people and is not at all shy. If there’s a group of people, he usually manages to get himself in the middle. He also hangs out with other cats and gets along with most of them. He is a pro at walking on a harness and wants to spend all his time exploring. He is a great snuggler on sleepovers. Born in 2013, Gus came from an animal rescue organization in Arizona. He has feline leukemia, so he’ll need to live with other FeLV cats or be your one and only kitty. Do you have a warm bed where Gus can relax?

Hurricane City Animal Shelter

Hurricane City Animal Shelter is located at 2084 S 700 W in Hurricane. Its hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The shelter is closed on Sundays and holidays. They work very hard to keep their facility clean and their adoptable animals comfortable during their stay with them. Adoption fees are $20 for cats and $30 for dogs. The adoption fee includes a goodie bag and a certificate for a free health exam with either one of the veterinarians in Hurricane. All pets must be sterilized prior to being adopted.

Moosiesouthern utah adoptable pets Moosie

Moosie is a 2-year-old redbone coonhound who was brought to the shelter because her owners just don’t have enough room for her to run. And boy, does Moosie like to run! This gorgeous girl will need a large, secure yard to keep her happy and contained. You see, Moosie can easily scale a six-foot fence! Moosie is spayed and current with her vaccinations. She is great with kids, other dogs, and cats! She’ll need a little help with her house training, but Moosie is smart as a whip. With patience and consistency, this beauty will have it down in no time. Looking for a great, medium-sized dog who is lovable, fun, and gets along great with everyone she meets? Swing by the shelter soon to meet this ravishing redbone coonhound named Moosie.

Neosouthern utah adoptable pets Neo

Neo is a beautiful blonde husky who came to the shelter as a stray. This gentle, affectionate boy loves to be with his people. Neo seems to like everyone he meets. They aren’t sure how he is with other dogs or cats, but he would probably be just fine with kids who are kind and respectful. Neo has been neutered and is current with his vaccinations. He doesn’t seem to be interested in toys, but no doubt he would love to get out and go for a walk or run with you! Neo would do great in an active home where he can participate in all the outdoor activities going on! Sweet Neo needs plenty of exercise to keep him happy and healthy. In addition, this boy can climb out of his kennel, so he will need a secure backyard. It’s going to be a very lucky person who gets to adopt this gorgeous dog.

Herculessouthern utah adoptable pets Hercules

Hercules is a mighty cute little kitten looking for his fur-ever home where he can grow up to be a gorgeous black cat. At just about 6 weeks old, little Hercules has a lot of growing to do. He needs a home where he can get quality food to help him get big and strong. And he needs a home where he can play and run around and burn off all that kitten energy! Because when Hercules plays, he plays hard! This little guy is eager to learn the ropes. He already uses his litter box like a pro. With love and patience and positive reinforcement, you can teach a cat lots of tricks! Like jumping through a hoop or wearing a harness with a leash. The possibilities are endless with this little one. But mostly, Hercules just needs lots of love and a safe home where he will be cared for always.

Vernsouthern utah adoptable pets Vern

Sweet Vern is a beautiful, blue-eyed Siamese mix who is looking for his fur-ever home where he will truly be loved and cherished always. Vern arrived at the shelter because his owners were moving and did not want to take him with them. Vern is about 8 years old and is neutered. This gorgeous kitty doesn’t really care for kids, so Vern is looking for a home with adults only or older kids who will be gentle and kind. They don’t know how Vern is with dogs or other cats. He seems to be a bit on the quiet and shy side, so no doubt he would love a calm home with plenty of spots of sunshine that he can nap in. Vern has gorgeous blue eyes and a very pretty pattern on his soft fur. Don’t miss out on the chance to meet this gentle kitty.

Heathsouthern utah adoptable pets Heath blue

Heath is one of the coolest kitties ever! He is so chill and just rolls with whatever. Super friendly and relaxed, Heath would make a great feline companion for anyone who appreciates how wonderful having a cat in the home can be! Heath is prone to have crystals in his urine, but this is easy to control with a special diet. This fantastic feline gets along great with kids, dogs, and other cats! Heath just loves to be petted. He also enjoys playing and batting toys around. But mostly, he just likes to be with his people. Get into the shelter to meet this exceptionally cool cat.

Oh, what a wonderful cat. Mr. Whiskers’s family moved and could not take him with them. He is 8 years young. He is very friendly and loves attention and being petted and held. They were told he likes other cats and at the shelter; he just ignores the other cats and just goes about his own way. He comes when called.

Murphysouthern utah adoptable pets Murphy

He is quite talkative. He was well cared for and has a shiny, smooth coat. He is a large cat. His adoption fee is $40.

Miasouthern utah adoptable pets Mia

Mia’s owner moved and could not take her with him. She is 7 years young and declawed. Mia is in need of a diet and exercise plan. Elliesouthern utah adoptable pets Ellie

My name is Ellie but you can call me the queen because I think I’m in charge and boss everyone around. I love people of all ages and I always want to be with them, and I’ll jump a six-foot fence to find them! My breeding is a bit unknown, but I’m obviously a working dog mix, so I’ll need lots of mental and physical stimulation to keep me happy. I am picky about my canine companions, and my prey drive can be a little active, so a home by myself or with larger calm dogs would be fantastic.

Hudsonsouthern utah adoptable pets Hudson

I’m Hudson, will you play with me? I’m an 8-month-old husky mix, so I’m a bundle of happy puppy excitement, right down to my stubby tail. I always want to go for walks and hikes, and I would love to find someone who has a big yard to run around in. I love playing with other dogs and I’d love to play with cats, although sometimes they don’t wanna play with me. When I’m not begging for walks, I love to hang out with people and cool off in a cool house. Can I come cool off at your house?

Boomersouthern utah adoptable pets Boomer

Hey everyone, I’m Boomer! I was found wandering around Colorado City when animal control picked me up. No one claimed me, so my new friends at RSQ Dogs came and got me before I was put down. I am four years old and fully grown. I know some tricks like “sit” and “come.” I love people, other dogs, and walks (but I’m just as happy to be your couch companion). I’m also kid friendly and fine around cats. Aren’t I such an amazing dog? My new friends say my new home needs a fully fenced yard for me to run around in. I say I want a family who will take me for adventures! Do you want to be my fur-ever family?

Chop Stick and Stir Frysouthern utah adoptable pets Chop stix Stir Fry

Chop Stick and Stir Fry are a bonded pair of young adults about 1 year old. They came to RSQ DOGS+ after their owner passed away. They are very loving and playful and will need to be adopted together.

Rascalsouthern utah adoptable pets Rascal

Rascal the mustache cat! He is ready for his furever home! Rascal would do best as the only animal in the home but could adjust to a home with another cat. Rascal is a very unique and handsome cat. Let them know if you would like to meet him and be prepared to fall in love!

Winniesouthern utah adoptable pets Winnie

Winnie is a very sweet, low-key little dog. She gets along great with other dogs and older kids. She is very loyal and loves to be right by your side at all times. She is a great buddy for someone looking for a constant companion. Winnie is house trained and does well in a kennel at night. Winnie has lupus, and her medication (25 mg Cyclosporine) has to be given 1 hour before food or 2 hours after. It costs about $45 a month. Call Michelle at (435) 703-3926 for more information on Winnie. Her adoption fee is $125.

Waltsouthern utah adoptable pets Walt

Walt is approximately 8 years old. He would like nothing better than to go on a walk with you, go for a run in the desert, be your companion, and then lay down at your feet at the end of the day (or in your lap … he likes laps a lot). Older children would be best for him, and he would also be a great pet for an older couple. Walt is well behaved in a house, and although he is crate trained, he prefers to live in close proximity with his humans. Walt’s foster mom says he is a great dog and he deserves a home of his own. Walt’s only problem is that nobody wants to adopt him because he has stage 1 kidney failure and requires a special diet. The vet says he could live a couple of years, or more, or less. There’s just no telling, but if you’ve seen the videos of him running in the desert, you would know he’s not ready to cash it in yet. Everyone who knows Walt believes he deserves a family. Are you a family that is willing to give love and be loved, even if it is time-limited? If so, call Corinne at (435) 760-3414 and set up a time to meet him. You will fall in love with him … everyone does!

Pebblessouthern utah adoptable pets Pebbles

Pebbles is a sweet little dog with a lot of love to give. A small dog with a big personality, Pebbles is about 4 years old but hasn’t had much contact with people so is quite cautious when meeting new people and takes some time to get comfortable. However, once he gets to know you, he is warm and loving with his favorite place being in the arms of his person. Very playful with other small dogs, he walks well on a leash while displaying typical “small dog bark bigger than his bite” attitude. To welcome Pebbles into your family, call Phyllis at (435) 862-2207. His adoption fee is $125.
