Roadysouthern utah adoptable pets Roady

Looking for a smart dog who loves to learn? Roady knows basic training cues and is crate and muzzle trained. He’s also learning leash manners. While he loves going for walks, he is reactive to other dogs while he is on a leash. However, Roady is working hard with his caregivers to improve his leash skills. An affectionate dog, Roady adores people. He enjoys hanging out and going for rides. His favorite things in life include snuggles and belly rubs. He also loves food puzzles and chew toys. Roady can be picky with his doggie friends, and it takes him a while to feel comfortable even with the right ones. But once he does, he can hang out and walk with them with ease. Roady was born in 2010. He was found as a stray before he came to Best Friends and is eager to find a forever home. Roady is part of Best Friends Single Pets program! That means that he is eligible for a free flight home and waived adoption fee! Single pets do best as the only dog or cat in the home.

Raquelsouthern utah adoptable pets Raquel

If you’re looking for a fun, active dog, you just have to meet Raquel. She has lots of energy and loves to play. Though she’d prefer to play with people, she also does quite well entertaining herself. Intelligent and eager to learn, Raquel would excel at obedience and/or agility training. Once she gets to know people, she loves them forever and is excellent at cuddling and giving hugs. Raquel does not do well with other dogs and will need to go to a home where she can be the only one. Born in 2012, she’ll make a great companion for a dog-savvy person. If that sounds like you, Raquel would be thrilled to meet you. Raquel is part of Best Friends Single Pets program! That means that she is eligible for a free flight home and waived adoption fee! Single pets do best as the only dog or cat in the home.

Pilsner does have some sensitivity when it comes to handling, especially around his feet and his mouth. He’s also a bit picky with his doggie friends and doesn’t play well with small dogs. He’d be the perfect companion for an active person seeking an adventure partner.

Rileysouthern utah adoptable pets RILEY2

Best buddy, companion extraordinaire, Velcro pal, cuddler, lover: all these describe Riley. She is an absolutely wonderful dog who loves nothing more than to be with the people she loves. Oh, and of course playing ball. Riley will sit and look at you adoringly as long as you want her to. This is the dog who in a snowstorm will lie by your side and keep you warm until help comes. Or if there is no snow storm, she will crawl up on the couch beside you and help you watch TV. She likes long walks and would make a good jogging partner or hiking pal. She gets along with other dogs but can be a little possessive of toys, food, and attention, so she would do best as the only dog and prefers a home without cats or other small animals. To meet Riley call (435) 773-5209 or stop by That BAM Place located at 44 W. State Street in Hurricane any day except Sunday between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon. Her adoption fee is $125.

He’s a friendly, loving little guy just waiting for his forever family. To find out more about Chico, contact Phyllis at (435) 705-9227. His adoption fee is $125.

Lexisouthern utah adoptable pets LEXI

Lexi is a 5-year-old blue-nose pit with a sad story. She was dumped out of a car and left in Las Vegas. Through her microchip, she was traced to an elderly gentleman who had Lexi for the first few years of her life but had to move to assisted living and re-homed her. Information on her stops at that point until she was dumped out of a car. She’s good with cats and kids. She needs work on leash training and staying around when not on the leash (she thinks you’re playing when she runs off). Other than that, she is an absolute peach. She is a complete snuggle bug who loves belly rubs and gives the best kisses with her giant tongue! She is so easy to love and has tons of love to give. A very friendly dog, she gets along with everybody. She’s been good with other dogs when the other dogs are somewhat calm. She hasn’t shown signs of aggression but gets too energetic when other dogs do and doesn’t realize how big she is. She has arthritis and has mild skin allergies. Her adoption fee is $125. For more information on Lexi or to make an appointment to meet her, contact Shayde at (208) 420-3764.
