Scoobysouthern utah adoptable pets Scooby

Scooby is extremely sweet and has a wonderful doggie grin. An all-around friendly dog, he is affectionate and loves to snuggle. He’s also active and smart, too. He loves walks and likes to do food puzzles and training. He loves being around other dogs at the Sanctuary, but he really likes to play rough and is very vocal with other dogs. Because he can come on a bit strong and rude, any other dogs in a new home need to be okay with that personality trait. Born in 2016, Scooby was rescued after Hurricane Irma in Florida. He can be a little mouthy and jumpy when he’s excited. Adopted briefly after the hurricane, he was returned for nipping kids in the home. At the Sanctuary, he is working on keeping all four paws on the ground and not using his mouth to ask for attention. Overall, he’s a great dog who does settle down over time and will do well in a home that will continue his training.

McDreamysouthern utah adoptable pets McDreamy

Handsome, charming McDreamy fits his name wonderfully. He had very little socialization before he was rescued and came to Best Friends, so he’s still shy and fearful with people, and he can be startled easily. But being the awesome, smart guy he is, McDreamy has been learning the ropes very quickly. In Dogtown, he is doing shy dog class and is walking with volunteers. He gets a lot of his confidence from his doggie friends, so he should go to a home where he’ll have a good canine role model. He loves to go on long walks and would enjoy regular trips to the dog park. When he’s extra excited about where he’s walking, he’ll start “talking” to you about his feelings, which is very endearing. McDreamy was born in 2013 and is so ready to learn and to grow. You can see in his irresistibly soulful brown eyes that he’s ready to take the plunge into a real home.

Chancesouthern utah adoptable pets Chance

Chance sometimes has a hard time meeting new people and other dogs. He just needs time to build some trust and learn that he is safe. Once that happens, he turns into a loving, cuddly and playful dog. He loves training and is very motivated. He also loves to wrestle and play with his squeaky toys. Born in 2012, Chance is an active boy who would make a great hiking or jogging partner. If you’re willing to take a chance and get to know this loving boy, he promises to make it worth your while.

Angelsouthern utah adoptable pets Angel

Angel is very friendly and talkative. Born in 2011, she still looks like a kitten, and is still as playful as a kitten, too. She can get overly playful with other cats. She came from a hoarding situation. Angel is fearful of new environments. It took her a few weeks to acclimate to Cat World. Angel is very curious about people, and she’ll follow you around to see what you’re doing. She does fine with dogs. If you’re looking for a charming roommate, Angel is your gal. Angel is a Caturtle, also known as a shy cat who comes out of their shell in a home. Caturtles are free to adopt and can fly to their new homes for free anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

Annasouthern utah adoptable pets Anna

Anna is a very sweet girl. She likes to perch up high and watch people. But she doesn’t like to be out of reach for long because she loves to be petted. She does fine with other cats but mostly keeps to herself. Born in 2011, Anna came from a Best Friends Network Partner in Michigan. They tell us that she gets along with calm, mellow dogs. She has kidney problems for which she takes medication and should be on a special diet. Anna adjusted to the Sanctuary quickly, and she would adjust well to a new home. Though she has special needs, her care is quite easy.

Ajaxsouthern utah adoptable pets Ajax

Ajax is a friendly guy who likes to be petted and ride on your shoulders. He gets along with other cats, too. Born in 2013, he came from a California shelter. Ajax is a big boy with an angelic face and the affection and playfulness of a kitten. He adjusts to new situations quickly and he’d love to come home with you.

Pumpkinsouthern utah adoptable pets Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a 5 to 6-month-old Shepherd mix. She has a sweet and gentle disposition and gets along with older dogs as well as RSQ Dogs+ puppies. Her coat is amazing, truly unique and beautiful. An active family household would give this little girl the love and attention she so deserves.

Bonniesouthern utah adoptable pets Bonnie

Bonnie came to us with burns all down her back. Yep. You heard that right! BURNS! She was also a new mother to 1 surviving newborn baby who she was a wonderful mother to. Bonnie had to endure painful surgery to cut away all of the dead and infected tissue and skin, then sew the healthy tissues back together. She had stitches all the way across her back. Although she has had a long recovery, she is really doing well now and she is ready for her own home and family! This petite little girl loves people and she is good with other cats. But she prefers a home with no dogs. If you are looking to adopt a kitty, please consider Bonnie. She’s such a sweetheart.

Lucky is about 5 years old and Charm is thought to be about 3 years old. Charm is the more outgoing of the two but Lucky also enjoys attention and being loved. They are very sweet, quiet little dogs who would enjoy being part of a family. They would be good with older, respectful children but toddlers may be too much for them. They are great with the other dogs at That BAM Place and Charm enjoys playing with the other little ones from time to time. The adoption fee for Lucky & Charm is $250. To meet them call (435) 773-5209 or stop by That BAM Place located at 44 W. State Street in Hurricane, UT.

Jasper is just the cutest little dog. He’s shy but once he gets to know you and trust you, he is your good buddy and will come to you for affection, to be held, to sit by you, to go for a walk with you and a car ride. He’s just an all around good boy. He’s good with the other dogs here at That BAM Place and will interact with the large and small. He’s good with respectful children but he is little and could easily be hurt if children were too rough with him. At our adoption center, Jasper does not soil his kennel. He’s crate trained. His adoption fee is $150. To meet Jasper call (435) 773-5209 or stop by That BAM Place located at 44 W. State Street in Hurricane, UT.

Jon Bon Jovisouthern utah adoptable pets JON_BON_JOVI

Jon has never-ending happy tail wag, loves to go for short walks, loves lap sitting and playing. He gets along with other dogs but would prefer dogs his own size or dogs that don’t play too rough. Jon is a volunteer favorite because of his happy attitude and is believed to be approximately 5 years old. Oh, did we mention that Jon love to talk–not bark. Although he can and will bark, he just loves to talk to the people around him. It’s very endearing. He is a wonderful little dog who loves interacting with his person. He’d make a great pet for adults or respectful children. Jon would not be able to physically hold his own with rambunctious children or toddlers, Jon suffered some pretty severe medical neglect at one time in his life. He had two broken rear legs and a broken pelvis. All have healed at this point but they healed without medical intervention. Jon’s left rear leg looks awful but causes him no pain and amputation is not recommended as he does use it occasionally for balance and it helps, on occasion, to support his other healed leg. Jon does not require any additional medical care for his past injuries but the vet does caution that he should be kept on the slim side and not be allowed to gain weight. His adoption fee is $125. To meet Jon, call (435) 773-5209.

Sabrinasouthern utah adoptable pets Sabrina

After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.
