Samsonsouthern utah adoptable pets SAMSON

Samson does have permanent luxating patella so should be in a home that has carpet as that will make it easier for him to get around. Harleysouthern utah adoptable pets Harley

Harley is a sweet, loving, loyal young dog who gets along well with other dogs. He’s a “tweener” meaning he’s between a little dog and big dog and is the perfect size. He is good with older children but how he handles young children is unknown since they have none with whom to test him. BAM believes he would be fine with a child of any age as long as the child is respectful. He is housebroken using a doggy door, crate trained and likes to go for car rides. He still has that puppy energy and his worst habit seems to be jumping when he’s overly excited. His adoption fee is $125. To set a time to meet Harley please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Princesssouthern utah adoptable pets PRINCESS

Princess could have easily been named after an Egyptian pharaoh with her striking “eyeliner”. This young adult has a lot of life ahead of her and would love to find someone interested in continuing the basic obedience training she’s learning in foster care (she already knows “sit” and has mastered puppy dog eyes). She is a solid girl but not too tall and is as affectionate as she is smiley! Princess enjoys being around her people and will do best in a home without small children. Having another dog as a companion and playmate could be ideal. They aren’t completely sure what breed blend Princess is but did learn in their adoption center that she’s a skilled jumper though she hasn’t displayed the same when around baby gates in her foster home. Given her abilities, a person or family looking for a walking/hiking companion or with a tall-fenced yard for her to be outside off-leash would be best. Knowledge or experience with strong breeds would be a bonus for Princess. Contact Alison by text at (541) 936-1766 (or leave a voicemail for a call back) or email admin@becauseanimalsmatter.com if you would like to learn more or to schedule a meet and greet for you (and your dog).

Chewysouthern utah adoptable pets CHEWY

Have you been searching for a compact hiking and/or road trip buddy? Meet Chewy, an energetic 6-1/2-year-old Terrier/Schnauzer blend who loves to be ON THE GO with his favorite human(s) – either on foot or in the car! He is well behaved on a leash, with occasional lapses in judgment when cats or rabbits cross his path. He will “leave it” if you ask firmly and distract him with a treat. Speaking of treats, this little guy is extremely food motivated and has quickly mastered Sit, Down, Play Dead, Dance and Speak! Still working on Fetch and Drop It – thinks it’s more fun to make you chase him. Chewy wasn’t raised with other dogs but meets them politely and several trips to the dog park have shown him finally learning how to play with new friends. They think he would be happy living with another small dog(s). Enjoys greeting most adults. His foster mom only had him around children once and he seemed okay with them but would recommend respectful children for him only. Chewy will do best with at least one at-home human. He gets quite sad and anxious about being deserted if left alone. His preference is to share your bed but will sleep in his crate. If you know terriers, you already know he can display that true terrier stubbornness at times, but treats always help to sway him! To meet Chewy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $125.
