Zion Vineyards Brings Home Three Silver Medals

The 2024 San Francisco International Wine Competition has just concluded, and the results are in! Since its introduction in 1980, the San Francisco International Wine Competition has set the standard for professional wine judging. Most recently celebrating its 44th year in 2024, the SFIWC is one of the largest and longest-running international wine competitions in the world. Maintaining the highest levels of integrity and impartiality, ensuring that all wines are treated with equal care and consideration by panels of highly esteemed wine experts.
The Tasting Alliance Competitions are considered the most influential for a reason. They have elevated the reputation of thousands of brands and represent the ultimate curator for the world’s best wine, beer, and spirits. Receiving a medal from the organization is a critical next step for any producer to earn recognition in the industry.
The 2024 Competition Zion Vineyards entered three of their wines. We are Proud to announce that all three received Silver Medals in their respective varietal. In essence each entry was evaluated within a peer group of similar wine. The entries include the Zion Vineyards.
Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2022, Washington County AVA; SILVER MEDAL
Wine aged in a new French Oak Barrel combined with wine aged in a new American Oak Barrel, creating a more complex flavor profile. A full-bodied wine with intense dark fruit flavors of black currants, blueberry, and the woodsy scent of tobacco. This combination adds richness and spice to the wine with notes of vanilla, clove, and caramel.
Tempranillo Reserve 2022, Washington County AVA; SILVER MEDAL
Aged in a brand-new French Oak barrel, creating a dry, full-bodied wine, with flavors of red and Bing cherry, dried fig, spice and clove with notes of tobacco, toasty oak, vanilla and smoke.
Miscela Rossa 2022 Red Blend, Washington County AVA; SILVER MEDAL
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Zinfandel, and 10% Tempranillo. A blend that showcases the best of all three varietals. Fruit forward and with delicate notes of earth and smoke, dark fruit flavors of black currants, plum and blueberry and a chocolatey finish.
