The 2016 Kane County Fair runs Aug. 6–13 in Orderville. This year’s fair has well over 30 events for patrons to enjoy. Events are held at a variety of locations. A list of locations can be found at thekanecountyfair.com.
This year’s fair features a bucking bull for attendees to try and ride, concessions and vendors, a family dance, live entertainment, and fireworks. Patrons can also enjoy inflatables, a parade, and a kid zone, a zip line, a talent show, and a performance by the Symphony of the Canyons.
The live entertainment will feature the Baker Bunch Band, Hazel Harris, The DisOrderlies, Paige Harris, Jared Harlan, a ventriloquist, and a humorous reading by Rochelle Eberly.
Attendees can enter livestock, horticulture, and floriculture in the county fair competition or bring their babies to enter in the baby contest.
Other contest opportunities include dummy roping, a horse show, log saw, long range rifle shoot and three gun shoot, Lego contests, Dutch oven cooking, and a nighttime fun run. There will also be a 4-H fair, home arts displays, a crafts competition, and a fine arts competition.
Those looking to get creative without joining a competition can try the Make It — Take It sewing activity on Friday and Saturday.
