Letter to the editor: Mad about “Does tithing buy you a get-out-of Hell card?”

I am very appalled by this article and it seems you print anything and everything, no matter fact or just someone’s opinion.

First of all, before you attach something you know nothing about, how about you get the facts straight.

I quote “Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are expected to tithe -giving 10 percent of their income – to be considered Mormons in good standing. I’m not sure if that means net or gross income, but either way it is a tidy sum.”  Why don’t you find out the facts before you write an article in regards to something you know VERY little about.

Also, your puns about “The key to heaven’s gate is in the heart not the wallet”. When was the last time YOU gave service and since you want to tell the Latter-day Saints all about their religion, you saw them with this sour look on their face and grumbling and complaining??? What we give either financial or service we do with our HEARTS I promise.

Hey, for your next article what don’t you tell the Catholic Priests what they are wearing all those dresses and head gear for. I am sure it is to get a Get out of Hell Card.

Most disappointed,
