July is upon us, and the summer is going quickly. The rising temperatures cause some people to become a little impatient. Here in Springdale, we invite all to sit back, relax, and enjoy the different beverages around the town to cool off, and of course, we remind you to take plenty of water with you as you enjoy both the town and Zion National Park. Dehydration can ruin a vacation, or even just a day trip, in a hurry. Don’t forget there are water filling stations at the park visitor center. You can never drink too much water this time of year.

As tourism picks up, parking in all the national parks in Utah has become a concern. Parking is available throughout the town of Springdale. I suggest that those staying at the hotels leave their vehicles there and ride the free shuttle to and from Zion National Park. If you park alongside the road, we ask that you are considerate and leave room for others to park also. Be careful crossing the roads, with all the traffic that is here in Springdale this time of year. Many of the traditional trails in the park are becoming busy, but if you ask the locals, they may be able to tell you of some of the other places to hike for a little bit more solitude. We want you to enjoy your time in Springdale and hope you return often.
