Michael Barrow & the Tourists will perform at St. George Concert in the Park June 10 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Michael Barrow (vocals, guitar), Trevor Harmon (electric guitar), Alessandro Improta (bass), Reed Perkins (drums), and Zach Collier (keys) got together in the spring of 2016 in Provo. Rallying around Barrow’s expressive lyrics and rich vocals, they began to inject John Mayer guitar lines and warm textures into Barrow’s brand of narrative folk.

The band has developed a reputation for their solid live performance and expansive dynamic range, selling out local venues and opening for Ben Rector and The Voice’s Ryan Innes. Their debut album, “Juneau,” was mixed and mastered by Brian Zieske, who produced the breakthrough records for both The Hush Sound and The Academy Is… in the early 2000s. “Juneau” received praise from Indie Music outlets, particularly for the breakout single “Sing Me Something New.” Music Existence called the album “an indie music lover’s dream,” and SLUG Magazine praised its “melodic beauty and narrative complexity.”

Don’t miss the second Monday of each month April through September. Park seating is available. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, food, and the family. For more information, call (435) 627-4525 or visit michaelbarrowandthetourists.com.
