…WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM MONDAY TO 9 AM MST
TUESDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 10-20
inches expected, with 15-25 inches in the Wasatch Mountains.
Mid-elevation winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE…Wasatch Mountains I-80 North, Wasatch Mountains South
of I-80, Western Uinta Mountains, Wasatch Plateau/Book Cliffs,
Central Mountains and Southern Mountains.

* WHEN…From 3 AM Monday to 9 AM MST Tuesday. Snow will start in
northern Utah late tonight and Tuesday morning in the south.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel may be difficult as early as the
Monday morning commute, lasting into Tuesday morning. Expect
winter driving conditions with snow covered roadways, including
Parley’s Canyon and Cove Fort, and low visibilities due to
blowing snow. Consider replenishing your car kit of extra
clothing, food, water, flashlight and other supplies.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
