On Nov. 4, Salt Lake City duo Oscar & Julia will perform at Streetfest’s Jazz Garden. On the main stage, local indie rock band Wirelefant returns with opening act Stayer. Now that milder evenings are in store, Utah residents and tourists alike can be expected to pack the various Streetfest venues from 6 to 10 p.m.
For adults 21 and over, The Jazz Garden at Historic Ancestor Square offers tapas by favorite downtown restaurants and adult beverage service to the tune of live jazz, acoustic rock, and blues. Each month, the Jazz Garden showcases a mix of local and guest artists. Jazz Garden hours extend 6 p.m. to midnight March through October. From November to February, the venue moves indoors to the Ancestor Square Clock Tower.
Streetfest is a nightlife event designed to celebrate the best of southern Utah held on the first Friday of every month from 6 to 11 p.m., with the Jazz Garden open until midnight April–October. St. George City streets close early, allowing for a concert stage to be constructed at the center of Historic Downtown. Between 3 and 5 p.m., an influx of food trucks, vendors, artists, musicians, and street performers converge to prepare for a night-time party spanning three city blocks and centering around a free concert on Main Street featuring local and visiting bands and musicians. The event is presented by Emceesquare Media and is sponsored by The Independent, the City of St. George, St. George Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Canyon Media, St. George News, Etched Magazine, Wingate by Windham Hotel, Tuacahn, Iron Gate Winery, and Wasatch Brewery.
More information on Streetfest or on how to become a vendor is available at georgestreetfest.com or from info@georgestreetfest.com. Streetfest organizers are now accepting applications for street market vendors, buskers, and food vendors.

Album Review: Many Miles’ debut album provides comfortable journey
Suggestions: #1. Don’t water the lawn area on Friday -day of show. Last time parts were swampy. Sitting on the grass not very fun, WHEN IT SHOULD BE!!!! #2. Don’t run out of food. Brats are good, but ran out with poor options left. #3. Maybe SG PD can trust people and not hang out for too long next to the wine bar. Yes they have the Constitutional right to do so, but one should have FAITH in the people, especially wine connoisseurs out to have a little fun. On that note, BRING ON WIRELEPHANT -best rock band in these parts. no jazz garden for me.
