Pride of Southern Utah is inviting adults to don their finest masks and most fabulous attire for its annual Pride Prom, the Mas-queer-ade Ball, taking place Saturday, June 27, from 8 PM to midnight at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George.
Open to guests ages 21 and older, the masquerade-themed evening combines elegance, celebration, and community while helping support Pride of Southern Utah’s free year-round programs and events.
Designed as a grown-up prom experience, the Mas-queer-ade Ball encourages guests to embrace mystery, glamour, and self-expression while enjoying an evening of dancing, connection, and celebration. Organizers say the event has become a favorite opportunity for Southern Utah’s LGBTQ+ community and allies to gather in a welcoming and festive atmosphere.

“We want to create something that feels magical, special, and welcoming for all—a grown-up prom where everyone can relive their prom experience or have a prom experience for the first time, with the partner of their choice,” said Cole Rasmussen, executive director of Pride of Southern Utah. “The Mas-queer-ade Ball is a night to dress up, show up, and find your people.”
The event is part of the organization’s 2026 theme, Find Your People, a year-long initiative focused on creating opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies throughout the region to connect, celebrate, and build community.
Beyond its annual events, Pride of Southern Utah hosts programs throughout the year including queer-friendly yoga, community coffee meetups, family lake days, Dragalicious drag shows, and other social gatherings designed to foster connection. The organization’s annual Pride in the Park celebration is scheduled for Sept. 26.
Pride of Southern Utah is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating community for LGBTQ+ people across Southern Utah through events, resources, advocacy, and outreach.
Tickets for the Mas-queer-ade Ball are available through the organization’s website.
